Despite being the same age as the show, I didn’t grow up watching The Simpsons.
But thanks to one of my undergrad professors, we watched one of the “Tree House of Horrors” episodes while covering Romanticism literature and the Gothic influence… aka, Edgar Allan Poe.
Now, I’m not saying I’ve suddenly turned into an avid Simpsons fan, but I can appreciate Lisa’s character. If only there were more episodes like this…
